I purchased two of these chairs—one for my home office and one for work. They’re firm (not overly soft), which I actually prefer for better support during long hours. The back isn’t spring-loaded, but you can still adjust it easily when you want to lean back or sit upright. Overall, really solid and comfortable chairs that do exactly what I need them to.
